Who controls your data
The controller is Matthew Johnston, a sole trader in Northern Ireland, trading as Recordsin. Contact hello@recordsin.co.uk.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist.
- Your firm name and firm size, if the form asks for them.
- The consent line you tick, and the time you tick it.
- A hash of your IP address, so we can limit repeated posts. We do not store the raw IP address.
- A campaign tag or referring page, if the link or your browser sends one.
- Pre-order checkout data: the email you enter, the amount, and a payment reference. Stripe processes your card details as its own controller. We do not store your card number.
Purpose and lawful basis
We email the waitlist with your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time, including by unsubscribing. We use pre-order data to perform the contract with you.
Processors
- Cloudflare hosts the site, stores data in a D1 database in the EU, runs Turnstile, and provides Web Analytics. Web Analytics is cookieless.
- Stripe processes payments.
International transfers
Cloudflare and Stripe may process personal data outside the UK. Those international transfers are covered by the safeguards the processors have in place.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist data until you unsubscribe, or for 24 months after the product launches, whichever is sooner. We keep payment records for 6 years for tax.
Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, or a portable copy of your data. You can object to processing, and you can withdraw consent. Email hello@recordsin.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not make decisions about you by automated means.
